Privacy Policy

Jimicut ("we", "us") is an independent beta project by Brevlyx. This page explains what data we collect, why, and how you can control it — in line with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act).
What we collect
- Audio/video you upload: Sent to our transcription provider (Groq) to convert speech to text. We do not store the file — once transcription completes, it is discarded.
- Transcript & generated content: Processed to generate your show notes, posts, etc. Saved only in your own browser's local storage (for the History feature) — not on our servers.
- Feedback text: If you use the Feedback button, we store what you write so we can read and act on it.
- Email address: Only if you voluntarily join our "notify me" waitlist. Used solely to tell you about a Pro version — nothing else.
- Basic usage counters: We keep anonymous counts (e.g. total generations) to understand usage. These are not tied to your identity.
Why we collect it
Strictly to operate Jimicut's core function (turning your audio into content), to improve the product based on feedback, and to let interested users know about future paid plans. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with advertisers.
How long we keep it
Audio: not retained at all. Feedback and waitlist emails: kept until you ask us to delete them. Rate-limit counters: auto-expire after 24 hours.
Your rights
You can ask us to delete any feedback or email you've submitted at any time. Since Jimicut doesn't require account creation, we identify your data only by what you tell us (e.g. your email) — contact us with that detail to request deletion.
Third parties involved
We use Groq (AI transcription/generation), Cloudflare (hosting/infrastructure), and GitHub Pages (hosting) to run Jimicut. Your content passes through these providers as part of normal operation, governed by their own security practices.
Contact / Grievance
For any privacy question, deletion request, or concern, please use the in-app Feedback button and mention it's a privacy request — we'll respond directly.
